Ok so our hand in date is this coming Monday, the 9th of May. Which is alright because we have FINISHED! The disc is burned. The cover is printed. Its sitting snugly in its box. The written side is just waiting for the same honour now. Well done to the whole of group 1.
And thank you every one.
This is probably the last post that you will be seeing here from me.

Last hurdle till the end!
The week is up and there is not much left to do. All the animation work has been handed to Jamie our editor ready to be masterfully stitched together. Director Ben is happy, I , producer Lucinda, am happy. The rest of the team is happy. All is well with the project. There is little left to do with it other than tie up a few lose ends and we will be ready for the hand in come the 9th of May.
Well done to everyone for a good job.

Two week Hiatus and we're back!
Sorry about the two week hiatus of long development and progress reports on blogger. Its been a busy, crazy couple of weeks.
To fill in the gaps and patch up the big hole between each little post here is what has been going on. The animatic was completed a little over two weeks ago and so production on animation began. Each member of the group was given a specific one or two scenes to work on which were dished out when the storyboards were completed. If my notes are correct the it goes a little like this:
Director Ben will be doing the opening sequence as he is the most experienced with flash and can work with it the fastest and also the ending sequence.
Gemma is doing the 'Big speech' along with the 'cheers' shot.
Nay is working on the ball passing scene and the park bench.
Jamie has been given the YMCA and close conversation scenes to be working on.
I'm animating the 'Bruce almighty Milk running scene' where he runs past a group of people hi-5ing them and also the swooning lady.
We didn't give anything to James H. He has been asked to do some small in between shots of close ups etc.
I know that everyone has been working hard on the stuff. In subsequent meetings to the one where the animatic was finished we've all been showing each other what we've been doing. Ben is happy with the work and each individual is happy with their work.
There have been a few teething problems with flash but its mainly down to getting used to the program. Ben has used it previously and so is the most able at it and has been giving help as and when he can. This also means that he was quick to get on with the opening and closing scenes. I'm aware that the opening is almost complete and that he has begun work on the end scene, both which look really good.
There have also been a few of the littler things sorted out in the last couple of weeks. We aim to get this film finished by the 15th of April, that means animated to a good degree of quality, nice a polished, edited and burned to a disc. Nay has offered to sort out the presentation of the DVD and its case whilst I'll sort out the group portfolio. For the portfolio I've asked if everyone can give me all the group relevant work, basically everything they have done on an individual level that contributed as a whole to the group. For example we picked Jamie's design for Norman and will therefore put his original designs in the portfolio. I also want a short summary from everyone about working in the group etc.
Aside from that all there is left now is to just trek on, I'm confident that everything will be done. We're on schedule and everyone's happy.

The animation begins...
So here is phase one of the opening, though the frozen characters are by no means complete at the beginning, and colour, backgrounds and some polishing are yet to be done, I believe the animation of Norman works well.

Research and Inspiration
Here are some of the things that the group has looked at as part of our research and development. It involves some videos and animations and also reference material.
